AFTB is about mission and Family readiness.
AFTB is helping empower Army Families through personal and Family preparedness training, which enhances overall Army readiness. AFTB helps Families adapt to Army life by providing information about the resources available to Soldiers and Army Family Members.
AFTB ClassWorkshops are held on a regular ongoing basis at the Army Community Service building in the Pine Plains Complex.
Child care is provided for all workshops, children must be registered with CYS Services Central Enrollment Registry.
Please register at least 6 business days prior to the class date; however, last-minute reservations may be available.

Level I - Learn
AFTB is about mission and Family readiness.

Course is for emerging leaders within the Army community. Course topics include Communication Skills for Leaders, Understanding Needs, Leadership Styles, Building Cohesive Teams, Managing Group Conflict, Leader Assisted Problem Solving, Delegation for Leaders, Meeting Management, Coaching & Mentoring and Family Readiness Group Leadership.

Level III - Lead
Course is for emerging leaders within the Army community. Course topics include Communication Skills for Leaders, Understanding Needs, Leadership Styles, Building Cohesive Teams, Managing Group Conflict, Leader Assisted Problem Solving, Delegation for Leaders, Meeting Management, Coaching & Mentoring and Family Readiness Group Leadership.

Instructor Training
Become an ACS Instructor by completing the ACS Instructor Training Course (ITC). This course includes classes on how to be an effective instructor, platform skills and how to present using an ACS standardized script. The ACS ITC is the pre-requisite for taking the ACS Briefer Training Course and ACS Facilitator Training Course which are also offered.. This is your chance to gain marketable job experience through volunteering and make new friends all at the same time! Come and join a great team of AFTB volunteers and seize the opportunity to contribute a valuable asset to your Fort Drum Community. Suggested pre-requisite: All three levels of AFTB courses.
