Be part of BOSS
If you are a Soldier on Fort Drum you are already a member of
BOSS and are welcome to all BOSS activities and facilities.

Trips and events are always happening at BOSS.
BOSS strives to provide Soldiers with fun events and activities.

The BOSS program is organized to support the overall quality of
single Soldiers’ lives. BOSS identifies real quality of life
issues and concerns by recommending
improvements through the chain of command. BOSS also encourages
and assists single Soldiers in identifying and planning for
recreational and leisure activities.
Additionally, it gives single Soldiers the opportunity to
participate in and contribute to their respective communities
through community service.
The BOSS program was established in 1989 to respond to the
recreational needs of single Soldiers. As the program was
implemented throughout the Army, it became evident that quality
of life was the primary concern of single Soldiers.
In 1991
the Chief of Staff of the Army officially expanded BOSS to
include all aspects of Soldiers' lives. This expansion added
participation in community service projects. Recreation, quality
of life, and community service are the core components, or
better known as 'The Three Pillars of BOSS’ of the BOSS program.

BOSS
meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each
month for representatives from the Brigade, Battalion and
Company levels at The BOSS Recreational Facility on Nash Blvd. at 4 p.m.

The BOSS program has been designed to support the overall well
being for single Soldiers focused with things that can influence
single Soldiers morale, living environment, personal growth, and
development. Some of the issues addressed in BOSS meetings
include dining facilities, education, fitness centers, barracks,
and recreational activities.
