Family Readiness Center (FRC)
For Family members of Deployed Soldiers

We invite you to visit and utilize the many services and
opportunities provided to help Families handle difficult
situations during the soldier's deployment. Sometimes, you
simply need to talk to someone who is going through the same
thing that you are. Sometimes you need the shoulder, support,
and advise of someone who has been through a deployment before.
The FRC offers a place to find that type of support in addition
to a place to hold meetings and training.
Services provided include: Family Lounge with TV/VCR, E-mail
stations, video-teleconferencing (VTC) capability, crisis
intervention, information and referral.

The Family Readiness Group Assistant Program is located
adjacent to the FRC. This program serves to co-ordinate training
and provide support to each unit's Family Readiness Group leader
and Rear Detachment. Additionally, this program serves as an
outstanding resource for information, emergency contact numbers,
and other resource materials that a FRG Leader may need. The
FRGAP may be contacted at (315) 772-6363.
One of the e-mail stations available in the FRC to help Family
members to keep in touch during deployment and long training
rotations.

Families of Soldiers in the ranks of PVT - SPC are entitled to a
Baby Bundle upon the birth of a child (any rank in case of
multiple births).
The baby bundle is a layette containing
blankets, baby outfits, sweaters, diapers, etc., as well as a
wealth of information pertaining to parenting and child
development. Many of the items are handmade by ACS volunteers;
most of the bundle is funded through donations by private
organizations.
For more information call 315-772-6799/6557.
