The McEwen Library
A Community Recreation Division Facility |
All active duty and retired military, Family members age ten and
over, and civilian employees may borrow materials from the
library. National Guard, reservists, and TDY personnel may use
the library while at Fort Drum.
Online Card Catalog
The extensive collection includes fiction and nonfiction, talking
books, cassettes, and music CDs and tapes. Materials may be
borrowed for three weeks and renewed twice. With the exception of
movies, there is no limit on the number of materials
that may be checked out. There is a limit of seven videotapes
per patron and they may be borrowed for one week and renewed
only once. For your convenience, you can renew materials in
person, over the phone, or by e-mail.

Online Research
eResources/Research Tools found at the following link out on the library's card catalog.http://mylibraryus.fmwr.net/screens~S24/resources2.html All sources (such as Academic OneFile,Ancestry Library Edition, AudioBook-CloudAudiobooks, Auto Repair Reference Center, National Geographic Virtual Library, Zinio Digital Magazines, etc.) can be accessed by simply signing up for a Robert C. McEwen library account.
E-Books
Digital and E-Books can now be “borrowed” from Fort Drum McEwen Library. Patrons need to access the Army /Digital Media Library through AKO, www.us.army.mil. Click Self Service then My Library then click Read or Listen to a Book This will take you to an E-Book and audio book resource page where books can be loaded onto your e-reader.
Computer - Public Use
The public use computers offer
internet access, Microsoft Word and a variety of other programs.
$.05 per page when printing from a
computer with a printing limit of 50 pages, including official
forms and documents.
Fax and Copy Service
Faxes - $1 per page
Photocopies - $.10 per page

Story Time
To
encourage the lifelong love of reading in young library
visitors, storytime for pre-schoolers is everyTuesday and
Friday morning from 10 - 10:45 am.
Volunteers are needed to read, please contact the McEwen Library
for details.
Dial a Story - For children of
all ages. Hear a different story each week. Available 24 hours a
day. 315-774-1234.
Summer Reading Program
The library offers a children's summer
reading program each year for children entering pre-school through the tenth grade. The program usually runs June through
Mid-August.
